General
Characteristics
The Bolivian territory boasts a variety of climates according
to geographic region. The plains are hot and humid with
average temperatures of 25° C (77° F) and altitudes
that vary between 200 and 400 meters (650-1,300ft) above
sea level. In the valleys, it is warm and dry with temperatures
averaging 15C° (50° F) and altitudes between 1000
and 3000 meters (3,280-9,940ft) above sea level. The plateau
average temperatures around 10° C (40° F) and
an altitude of 3,500 meters (11,483ft) above sea level.
For its biodiversity, 65% of the land is plains, 15% valleys,
and 20% is plateau.
