Time of meeting
It is common for Bolivians, and all Latin Americans for that matter,
to schedule a specific time to hold a meeting and then arrive about
an hour or more later. In order to avoid this type of problem, it
is a good idea to reiterate the importance of punctuality.
Attire
Business meetings usually require formal attire, unless they take
place at a recreational site or in the country. Formal clothing
consists of a two-piece suit and a necktie. A dress-coat or tuxedo
is only worn to diplomatic events or other very formal events. A
dark suit is recommended for evening meetings or funerals.
Bolivian business people
The Bolivian businessman or woman is generally serious and honest.
His attitude is like that of a responsible executive that only formalizes
his business negotiations in secure situations.
